I was doing carpentry for years before I started sculpting.

Sculpting slowly came into it as I started making the woodwork more decorative. That’s how I learned, developing sculpting techniques by increasingly shaping wood in practical woodwork. Something I haven’t stopped doing.

Chime Stand

The task was to make a stand for this instrument, one that could be disassembled for regular transport, while still having some character and personality.

 

I did not make the instrument itself.
